Day 1: Kigali Welcome & Musanze Transfer (Travel time: ~2.3 hours)
Following your arrival at Kigali International Airport and completion of immigration formalities, your dedicated safari driver will greet you and provide a brief orientation. Commence your Rwandan adventure with a fascinating Kigali city tour, including a visit to the poignant Kigali Genocide Memorial. After lunch, travel onwards to Musanze near the renowned Volcanoes National Park. Evening meal and accommodation at Foyer De Charite or Ruhondo Island Retreat , Meals: Full board
Day 2: Gorilla Encounter
Begin with an early morning coffee before attending the essential briefing at park headquarters. Enter the mystical forest with your packed lunch to track the elusive mountain gorillas and witness their natural behaviours in their pristine habitat. Once located, you’ll have the privilege of observing these magnificent great apes for a full hour, capturing photographs of their social interactions. The gorilla tracking experience typically takes between half to a full day, dependent on the creatures’ movements. Return to hotel & farm Experiences for the lunch ( Trying traditional foods if preferred) , followed by an afternoon cultural experience at the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Centre. Evening meal and accommodation at Foyer de charite or Ruhondo Island Retreat. Meals: Full board
Day 3: Golden Monkey Trek & Nyungwe Transfer
After breakfast, set off for golden monkey trekking—a similar but less strenuous experience to gorilla trekking. Return for lunch before proceeding to Nyungwe. Check into Nyungwe Top View Hotel for your evening meal and overnight stay. Meals: Full board
Day 4: Chimpanzee Trek & Canopy Walk
Following your early morning cup of African coffee, transfer to the park for briefing and chimpanzee trekking. Upon locating these intelligent primates, you’ll enjoy one hour in their company. Return for lunch before experiencing the exhilarating canopy walk—a 70-metre suspended metallic bridge offering spectacular views across Nyungwe Forest. Return to Nyungwe Nziza View lodge for your evening meal and accommodation. Meals: Full board
Day 5: Farewell Rwanda
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before departing for Kigali, with an enlightening visit to the King’s Palace en route. Later, transfer to the airport for your evening departure flight.
