Our Premier Tales For Eco-Treks & Agro-Tours: A Journey with Natalie Napburn

Feb 18 2025

At Eco Terra Vista Tours, we pride ourselves on offering transformative and immersive experiences that highlight Rwanda’s rich culture, stunning landscapes, and vibrant communities. One such journey was the unforgettable four-day adventure we curated for Natalie Napburn from Wales,England, an inspiring guest who embraced the spirit of Rwanda and all it has to offer. From our TreeHouse stay nestled amidst the jungle of birds and nature in Musanze to the tranquil shores of Lake Kivu, Natalie’s adventure was truly one for the books.

Day 1: A Cultural and Heritage Dive Under the Volcanoes
We kicked off Natalie’s journey in the heart of Rwanda, at the base of the majestic Volcanoes National Park. Our day was spent exploring the local culture in the Gorillas Guardian village. It was here that we uncovered indigenous knowledge, learning about traditional weddings, medicinal plants, and the incredible craftsmanship of local artisans. Natalie also got a chance to try her hand at creating beautiful handcrafts and witness the art of banana beer production at Redrocks. The tasting experience of this locally brewed delicacy was one to remember.

Day 2: Green Mountains, Cowboys, and Fresh Milk
The next day, we ventured into the rolling hills of Rwanda’s Western region, where Natalie found herself surrounded by lush tea plantations, rolling green hills, and the welcoming smiles of local communities. The day’s highlight was the unique “Cowboys Experience, At Bigogwe Farms” where she participated in cow milking, cheese making, and even tasted fresh milk straight from the source. As the sun set, we gathered around a campfire for some roasted corn and a warm drink of freshly prepared milk – a true farm-to-table experience.

Day 3: The Eco-Lodge & Lake Kivu’s Serenity

The third day took us to an idyllic Eco-lodge, where Natalie was treated to the serene beauty of Lake Kivu. With the cabin just steps away from the water, she enjoyed the quiet sounds of nature, the soft flutter of butterflies, and the calls of birds. Fishing on the lake and watching the sunset while sipping a sundowner was the perfect way to unwind after the previous days’ adventures.

Day 4: Farm to Cup & Community Connections
We wrapped up Natalie’s journey with an enriching experience at our Agro-Tourism Park By Eco Terra Vista Tours. Here, she participated in tea picking and tea tasting, followed by a hands-on Coffee Tour, from farm to cup. As a special tribute, Natalie even planted her very own coffee tree, officially marking it with her name as a part of our sustainable agro-tourism initiative. Afterward, we explored the local community, engaging with artisans and visiting local souvenir shops, before heading to the airport for her flight home.

Through every step of Natalie’s journey, we felt privileged to share our beautiful country with her. From the warmth of the people to the diverse landscapes, her trip with Eco Terra Vista was an exploration of Rwanda’s natural wonders and cultural treasures.

If you’re dreaming of a journey that blends adventure, relaxation, and cultural immersion, look no further. We invite you to join us at Eco Terra Vista Tours and embark on your own unforgettable Rwandan tale. Whether you’re exploring the foothills of volcanoes, connecting with local communities, or simply basking in the tranquility of Lake Kivu and Twinlakaes (Lake Ruhondo & Lake Burera). we promise an experience you’ll cherish forever.
