09:00 AM ,Visit to Local Farms

Travel to the picturesque countryside surrounding Kigali (After a brief introduction to the vibrant destinations of Muhanga and Musanze, you’ll have the opportunity to choose where you’d like to enjoy your exclusive experience ) , …where you’ll visit local farms dedicated to sustainable agriculture. Engage with farmers as they share insights into traditional farming practices and the cultivation of staple crops such as bananas, plantains, beans,  cassava etc. Participate in hands-on activities like harvesting fresh produce, picking vegetables, and even milking cows, gaining a deeper appreciation for the origins of Rwandan ingredients.

11:00 AM Market Exploration

Next, head to a bustling local market in nearby Kigali which is the Kimihurura market Or in Musanze, Which is Nyakinama model Village Market. Accompanied by your guide, you’ll navigate through vibrant stalls brimming with fresh produce, spices, and traditional ingredients. Learn how to select the best ingredients and discover the essential components of Rwandan cuisine. This immersive experience offers a glimpse into the daily life of Rwandans and the importance of community markets.

12:30 PM Traditional Cooking Lesson

Return to a local home or a community center where a skilled Rwandan chef awaits. After a warm introduction and essential kitchen safety tips, you’ll dive into the culinary arts of Rwanda. Under the chef’s guidance, you’ll prepare traditional dishes such as Isombe (mashed cassava leaves), Ugali (a staple made from cassava or maize), and Brochettes (grilled meat skewers). This hands-on cooking lesson allows you to learn authentic techniques and recipes passed down through generations.
